	The Gap initially got together in 2000 to play a once off performance, but this show led to two immediate bookings and the band was formed properly. Taking on the philosophy of playing well known and easy to dance to popular covers regular work quickly materialised. Mark and Robert were both involved in the bands initial formation and remain in the line-up to this day. Graeme joined on the bass in 2003 replacing the original bass player when he headed off overseas. Sally joined in 2005 to add an extra dimension to the band with a female voice, and Geoff joined on the drums in early 2010. [go to top of page] Our performance We tailor every performance to the specific event. Everything from the song list, to the lighting, to the way we dress is specifically customised to suit your events theme, purpose and your requirements. We endeavour to provide an energetic performance on stage, with appropriate lighting and effects and stage decor, along with a good dose of crowd involvement. Generally we perform 3 sets of 40-45 minutes duration, but this is always tailored to suit the event and the events running sheet. [go to top of page] What you can expect At your event you will have plenty of things to organise and concern yourself with without having any hassles with the entertainers. You can expect us to: turn up early to setup and sound check well before your event start time provide all our own professional standard equipment including musical equipment and amplification and PA systems, lighting, effects and stage decor - all we need from you is a powerpoint (or two) be appropriately dressed for your function, anything from casual to formal and anything in between, including specific dress ups to suit your theme - we've done The Blues Brothers, Santa Claus, Halloween etc. provide a professional level of entertainment and act as MC if required provide a live show - no drum machines, no backing tracks start and finish on time be flexible on the day/night to fit into your running schedule and any changes that may occur on the day/night pack up promptly and leave the premises as we found them work closely with you to make the song list and all other components exactly as you want them learn any specific songs you ask for - please give us a reasonable time to practice before your event provide a quality experience for a reasonable price have you up and dancing with your guests - most likely with a tambourine in your hand. Pricing naturally depends on the type of event, travel involved and duration required to play.
